Since Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) causes severe losses in tomato crops worldwide the search for genetic resources for breeding high-yielding, disease-resistant varieties remains challenging. We tested 25 tomato genotypes under field conditions to identify high-yielding disease-resistant genotypes. We identified several promising genotypes using advanced statistical methods, particularly genotype G13 which had a high yield of 8.8 kg per plant with 8.7 fruits per cluster and showed a low disease severity under high natural infection pressure.
